Rug Hooking (Punching) Weekend

Give me some of them old time hand projects - I'm happy.

DarLynn, this just ooozes nostalgia - your featherweight and rug project.

Lisa Bongean and Ann from Primitive Gatherings Quilt Shop in Menasha Wisconsin spent the weekend at the Homestead Cabin Retreat teaching a WONDERFUL workshop on how to Rug Hook using the punching method. It was easy to learn, went quickly, and was lots of fun!!

Here Lisa is working on more creative projects.
I was honored that Lisa put together her own design for this special weekend pictured in the small group photo (me holding the rug).

We had wonderful weather to enjoy and since rug hooking can be a portable 'sport', many were doing it out on the deck!

There were some quilting projects that showed up also. Wow! Do I love those small pieces girls!
Life is truly - a Stitch!
Lorna did this fabulous sunflower while here with a punched center. This is Sharyn and Dayna's projects.
Everyone went away feeling successful - and that is a sign of a great teaching team!

Thanks again Lisa and Ann ----------Patsy and everyone!
See you again next year - for another wonderful topic/project
