Cleaning out the Garden Shed

I have a serious Galvanized Bucket problem.  I'll have to add some of this stuff to my "for sale" items up in the loft.  (After Stacy goes through it)
Can we buy any more landscaping fabric?

"Sister's Weekend at the Retreat"

This week was our annual "Sisters Sisters Weekend"  Real sisters and Sister in Laws
I arranged with Andrew for Amish buggy rides.  (he hadn't joined the church yet so he said it was Ok to take his picture)
Love this - gonna make a few of these.
Took the Carson girls to a local bar called Carson City.  Had a blast!

Fire pit and Tigger too

Here is the new fire pit place for folks to enjoy while at the retreat.  I've even got a basket of Smore's Fixins to welcome you.
My friend Tigger at a friend's barn.  Who doesn't love kittens?
Being shy.

Retreat update

Finally we decided to finish the last side of the Retreat cabin with what we had left.
We couldn't find any more long logs the same thickness   It'll be fine once we chink it.  Nice job Red and Lee .

Shoots, Boots, and Bobbers

A shooting bench we built for the Shoot out
My very first pair of Cowboy boots.  :D
A few weeks ago, my cabin was surrounded by water.  It's gone down since then but this waterfront property is new experience.  Working on the insides yet.

My cabin project

A couple years ago, I bought this cabin that I saw potential in.  Here is big potential
Shoveling so we could roof the next day
Standing in the 'potential' room without roof and sidewalls
 New sidewalls and new roof.
You have to break a big window to remove it carefully.  What a mess to clean up.
The side that faces the lake with two "new" windows from the Restore.
The reason why I like this place so much.   This was last year of course.

Ashland WI

Back in February, I visited my kids in Ashland WI and Brady and I love to go to the Visitors Center.  The mural painter was working on this historical mural of the area.  You could pay a donation to get your own face on it.  They were all sold out.

She has murals all over the town of Ashland.  If you ever go to Bayfield be sure to stop in Ashland and look around.  They are the best murals I have ever seen.

Turning the page....

Sorry folks, I haven't been keeping up with the blog.  I have decided what is important in my life, and what is a time sucker and just too much work.  Well, posting all the pics from the weekly show n tell's just had to go.  I still LOVE, LOve, love watching all the beautiful projects and quilts shown at show n tell.  But I want to enjoy them without a camera to my eye.
Early February I got to attend my 2nd Winter BOW (Becoming Outdoor Woman) and shot anything I wanted to at the Tomahawk Rifle Range.  Thanks to this handsome Marine, he helped me handle lots of firearms.  Loved it!
View from Treehaven - where we stayed for BOW
My seat in the dining room at BOW
Sewing with beaver fur.  a scarf which I'm not done with yet. Our class below.
So I plan to return to the way the blog started out.  All about what happens to catch my creative eye.  Might be photos of my outings, might be what i bought at the antique store or thrift shop.  Maybe just friends having fun.
I hope you stay with me.  Just turning the page.
