Reunited

I think it was 2003 the last time I saw Shirley (in pink) We met on the internet. I think I tried to answer her question on a "longarm forum" as we both had the same A-1 brand Longarm. We kept communicating and helping each other, eventually meeting down in Springfield IL at one of the longarm conventions. We kept in touch and when a friend and I went "Retreat Researching" on down to Leavenworth Kansas, Shirley opened up her home as a pit stop half way. She lives in Iowa. Anyway, finally her and her friends made the long journey. It was great seeing her and her friends again. And meeting some new friends too. Thanks for coming girls and see you next year!!

Cash for Klunkers

Marty pouring in a gallon of oil before it's last journey to the dealership. There is a steady leak so he jumped in and was on his way quickly after. I followed him. He was barely stopping at Stop signs. Couldn't pause too long. Hansel and Grettle could have followed his oil trail all the way from our house to Jones Chevrolet in Richland Center.

In the past 31 years of marriage, we have owned a handful of vehicles. 1 was new. All the rest were used. So since this white truck was on it's last mile, and since the Klunker offer was presented, it was time to put the ole girl out of her misery. It had logged 271,072 miles but was no longer reliable enough to take any distance.

So this is the new shiny that replaces her. We haven't learned what all the buttons do yet, but we sure are enjoying driving it. Shiny Bubbles will have this new 'team of horses' to pull her about.

200th Blog

Thank you Marty for everything! Without you, who knows which direction I'd have gone.

I would not have gotten to meet all these quilters.

I contemplated on what to post about for the monumental 200th blog posting. Something special, I wanted it to be.

Well, always realizing that without YOU the readers, the retreaters, friends, and family. Well, none of this is worth anything. So I just want to take the time to THANK you all. No give away contests, no be the 5th blog responder. I want to thank you all.

And to the most special people in my heart. My kids. No matter how old they get, my love just gets stronger. I love watching them turn into the great adults, I'd hoped they one day would be.
